Abstract:The present work puts forward a new way to improve the energetic level as well as low signature characteristics of NEPE propellant,by introducing the high energetic ingredients CL-20 to the original formulas. The effects of different composition on the regulated formula are analyzed with the computer program based on the minimum free energy principle.The results show that CL-20 is a prominent energetic oxidizer in the high performance formula design.

Abstract:Relationship between formulation constituents and signature characteristics was studied in the title propellant,containing polyether,nitrate ester and RDX. Theoretical result showed that the total content of Al2O3 and HCl in the combustion gas could be up to 87 percent lower than common HTPB propellant, when the content of AP and Al was controlled lower than 10% and 2% respectively. Microwave attenuation at 2 cm and 5 cm wavelength was measured for diverse formulations,the content of Al changing from 1% to 13%.

Abstract:The preparation technology of ultrafine hexanitrostilbene (HNS) by recrystallization method was presented. The high-dispersed explosive solution was splashed into low-temperature water and the fitting surfactant was added at the same time. Ultrafine HNS was obtained with specific surface area 23.00 m2·g-1, mean diameter 0.365 μm and purity 98.5%.

Abstract:The thermal decompositions of ammonium nitrate(AN) and ammonium perchlorate(AP) are investigated by ARC (Accelerating Rate Calorimeter). The curves of thermal decomposition temperature and pressure versus time for the two systems are obtained. There are obvious differences in decomposition characteristic between the two chemicals. The kinetic parameters such as apparent activation energy and pre-exponential factor of the thermal decomposition of AN and AP are calculated respectively.
Abstract:In composite system filled with solid and solid-liquid phase, rational particle grade improve particles arrangement closer and increase stacking density. Generally used particle grade technique is semi-empirical method,it determines results according to experiments,which needs quite an amount of work. By adopting blended stock regression design,building particle grade model and optimizing grade ratio,optimum particles grade can be gained,content of solid phase of suspended system can be increased simultaneously.

Abstract:A pressing technique has become available that might be useful for compressing granular explosives. If the height-diameter ratio of the charge is unfavorable,the high quality charge can not be obtained with the common single-action pressing. This paper presents incremental pressing technique, which can obtain the charge with higher overall density and more uniform density.

Abstract:According to the demand of large-caliber cannon ignition system design,combining the practice of engineering development and manufacture,a new kind of ignition powder backfill structure was proposed,which is to put pressure on black powder and make high-density caky powder,then load it into metallic center ignition. The geometrical shape of caky black power and loading density are modified to modulate ignition pressure,so as to match different propellant structure.

Abstract:This paper studied the effects of carbon black, graphite, KCl and olefin on the diode laser ignition characteristics of Zr/KClO4 and carbon black on that of B/KNO3, so as to provide experimental basis for changing characteristic of ignition composition ignited with diode laser. The experiments show that only carbon black can increase the laser sensitivity of the two ignition composition. The four dopants can decrease the delay times of the ignition composition, and the carbon black is the best while the graphite is the worst.

Abstract:In this paper, the coordination compound [Mg(H2O)6](TNR-)2·2H2O is prepared by the reaction between styphnic acid and magnesia. Its molecular structure and crystal structure are determined by X-ray diffraction. The crystalline is in triclinic with space group Pī. The crystal parameters of the title compound are as follows: a=0.788 9(1) nm,b=0.882 1(2) nm,c=1.043 3(2) nm; α=77.47(1)°,β=70.96(2)°,γ=66.74(1)°; V=0.627 3(2) nm3,Z=1,DC=1.738 g·cm-3,μ=0.193 mm-1,F(000)=338.
