Abstract:The hygroscopicity of CL-20 in four polymorphs at 28 cC and a relative humidity of 90% has been tested. a-CL-20 has the highest hygroscopicity being 0.5% in five days,whereas the hygroscopicity of β,γ and ε-CL-20 is all no more than 0. 025% .
Abstract:Emhedded copper foils in a high explosive charge allow to see the stream of the reaction products behind the detonation front. With three individual firings in front of FXR it can be shown that the reaction products behinci the detona- tion front are immediately going in the direc:tion of the detonaLion front. But then the rarefaction fans are influencing sLrongly the further displacements.

Abstract:Two relationships are established using the least-squares method,between the kinetic parameters (the ap-parent activation energy and pre-exponential constant) ,and the exothermic decomposition emperature and thermal explosion critical temperature for eighty-six energetic materials.

Abstract:Relationship between test frequency and glass transition temperature was studied for four TATB-based PBXs and their binders (fluoropolymers) ,by using dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) method. Results showed that of the four fluoropolymers,F2314,F2311, ,F2463 and F2603 ,only F2314 has an ap-parent secondary transition,which is ascribed to the fact that there are much more C-Cl bonds attached to a F2314 molecule. Meantime,the activation energies of the PBXs and their binders were calculated from the relationship between test frequency and glass transitiontemperature for the PBXs and their binders. It followed from comparisons between the activation energies of the PBXs and their binders that present of high contented TATB particles in the PBX may cause an obvious limitation in conformational movement of polymeric segment. A simple model,which had been confirmed by SEM photos of some PBXs, was pres-ented to explain this phenomenon.
Abstract:This paper has reviewed the methods of synthesizing TATB ,introduced the basic principles and processes of the methods of synthesizing TATB containing chloride,containing nonchloride and the VNS ( Vicarious Nucleophilic Substitution of Hydrogen) ,pointed out the developing directions of synthesizing TATB.

Abstract:The main factors influencing on detonation heat of explosives are researched in this paper through analysis of the test data. It has been indicated that charge density,material and thickness of the charge shell are the main exterior factors,while the essence is the influence on the transfer of the chemical equilibrium resulting from the pressure of products at the ' freeze out' temperature. It has also been pointed out that the detonation heat is the mutual coupling result of the chemical property and the applica-tion conditions ( charge density,shell,etc) .

Abstract:A study has been made on waterjet cutting parameters by cutting D -90023 simulated material of explosive. Basing on these tests,some main waterjet cutting parameters have been determined for ex- plosive. At the same time ,to support the technology ,which is applied in cutting explosive units ,the feasi- bility of waterjet cutting will be researched.
Abstract:Ageing of single-base propellants, extending over a storage period of more than 50 years, was investigated by X-ray diffraction analysis. X-ray degree of crystallinity and interplanar spacing were determined. Analysed was the effect of nitrogen content, degree of substitution ( DOS) and diphenylamine ( DPA) content on structural changes in propellants.

Abstract:The flame retardant of LDA and organic fiber-Kevelar are selected during the development of low signal insulation. The basic material of insulation is RTV silicone rubber. The results show that with the increasing of LDA and/or Kevelar in the insulation,the insulation's signature penetrating rate of la- ser,visible light,infrared ray can be increased,but it's mechanical properties decrease.

Abstract:The curing process of 123 resin was studied by means of microcalorimetry with diethyl sulfate as a curing agent. The results show that the acid value( greater than l percent) of diethyl sulfate has an effect on the curing rate and cured degree. When acid values of diethyl sulfates vary in a proper range ( less than l percent) ,curing rate,cured degree and curing heat of 123 resin will not be affected. The cu- ring mechanism of 123 resin was studied through FTIR technique. It shows that with the deepening of cured degree,the magnitude of characteristic peaks of >C=C< at 1 651 cm -1. =CH2 at 3 095 ~3 075 cm -1 and 3 040 ~ 3 010 cm -1 attenuates sharply,indicating that the cross-link reaction takes place on the non-saturated double bond within the >C=C< group for monomers Ⅰ and Ⅱ.

Abstract:The crystal of picric acid is obtained by the method of evaporation. It is characterized by using element analysis and FTIR. The crystal structure of PA is determined by single crystal diffraction analy- sis. The crystal is orthorhombic. Its space group is Pca2 (1) with crystal parameters of a = 0. 926 84(16)nm ,b = 1.913 9(4) nm,c =0. 971 6(2) nm,V = 1. 723 6(6)nm3 ,Z =4,Dc, = 1.766 g . CIII -3.μ = 1. 66 cm -1,F (OOO) = 928. The final R is 0. 045 4,Rw ,0. 097 9。
Abstract:The free radical copolymers were prepared by using the mixture of several alkyl acrylic acid or ester and 107 silicon rubber. The structure and composition of the copolymers were characterized by IR, GPC,etc. And the modified silicon rubber added with acid and base coupling agent was investigated as a bonding material for JOB - 9003 and JOB - 9005 explosives.

Abstract:The high performance liquid chromatography ( HPLC) to determine purity of hexanitrohexaaza- isowurtzitane ( HNIW) has been studied in this paper. The method is carried out with ultraviolet spectro- photometer as detector,YWG - C18 column,acetonitrile ( CH3CN) -water mobile phase. The compared re- sults of calibration curve method,internal standard method,normalization method show that the standard deviation of three methods is all below l% ,the accuracy of normalization method is restricted with condi- tion, the internal standard method is difficult to be accomplished,though its accuracy is higher, the cali- bration curve method is easy to be operated and with higher accuracy. It is prefer to use calibration curve method to analyze purity of HNIW.
