Abstract:Various methods have been tried to debenzulate hexabenzylhexaazaisowurtzitane (Ⅲ),but only by using hydrogenolysis at the presence of Pd/C catalyst and combining with acetylation in situ, a stable dibenzyltetraacetylhexaazaisowurtzitane (Ⅳ) can be obtained. (Ⅳ) is converted to dinitrosotetraacetylhexaazaisowurtzitane(Ⅴ),and then nitrated to dinitrotetraacetylhexaazaisowurtzitane(Ⅵ). (Ⅵ) is nitrated by different methods into the hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane with high yield. The structure of the product (Ⅵ) is identified by IR,MS(CI,EI),1H-NMR,13 C-NMR and elemental analysis.

Abstract:The condensation reaction of 1,1,5-trihydro-octafluoro-pentanol (FOH-2) with epichlorohydrin (ECH) under the presence of NaOH to form 1,1,5-trihydro-octafluoro pentyl glycidylether(FGE-2) was investigated by using gas-liquid chromatograph. The reaction was found to be reversible and reach into equilibrium under the conditions of non-aqueous medium,mole ratio of reactants FOH-2/ECH/NaOH=1/3/1~1.2,post addition of FOH-2, reaction temperature of 50℃ and reaction time 4 to 5h.If the excess of NaOH was in the range of 5%~20%,the conversion of FOH-2 into FGE-2 would be higher than 90%. A satisfied result was also obtained in the case of post-adding ECH. The raw product was fractionated under reduced pressure and collected the fine FGE-2 at 68℃ and 266.6Pa with yield of 82% and epoxy value 0.3440~0.3470mol/100g.

Abstract:The catalysis mechanism of PbNTO salt (PNTO) in GAP propellant combustion was investigated by means of modern diagnostics.It is found the catalysis mechanism of PNTO is quite different from that of the common Pb salt.PNTO is the burning centre,the combustion of the propellant is speeded up at the site where PNTO is situated.At the presence of PNTO as a single catalyst,the combustion rate pressure exponent of RDX/GAP/NG propellant decreases to the level of about 0.5.

Abstract:The interaction thermodynamics of components in nitro cellulose plasticized by diethylene glycol dinitrate (DEGDN) or triethylene glycol dinitrate (TEGDN) is studied by use of GC and optical microinterferometer. The decrease of partial entropy of mixing indicates the existance of strong interaction energy between the components exists. The phase diagram of NCDEGDN and NCTEGDN are obtained.

Abstract:It becomes a serious problem how to comprehensively reuse the exservice double base propellants(DBP).A new kind of plastic surrogate can be made by mixing the pretreated exservice DBP with low density polyethylene(LDPE),adding flame retardants and smog inhibitors. The oxygen index of this surrogate is over 30. Tensile strength higher than 32MPa; gradient resistance Rg≥0.8×1015Ω; surface resistance Rs≥1.3×1015Ω; bending behavior with no deformation at 80℃ and no crack at -50℃. This new method not only saves raw materials for plastic industry,but aslo reduces the environmental pollution,compared with the traditional disposal method by burning or burying the exservice DBP.

Abstract:A method was worked out for the detection of the additional energy release behind the detonation wave on the basis of the measurement of the shock wave velocity in a plexiglass block. Explosives tested were NH4NO3/TNT 80/20,NH4NO3/TNT/Al 80/10/10,NH4NO3/TNT/LiF 80/10/10 and NH4NO3/Al 90/10. It was established that a decrease of the shock wave velocity with increasing distance from the explosive charge. It can be slowed down by using aluminized explosives and the higher dispersity of Al,the slower decay of the shock wave velocity is. These effects are caused by an increase in pressure of explosion gases acting on the plexiglass boundary as a result of releasing the additional chemical energy from aluminium oxidation.
Abstract:Preparation methods and properties of nanoscale diamond synthesized by explosive detonation and the influences of different preparation and aftertreatment conditions on the results and properties are reviewed. Some known and future applications of this kind of diamond powders are also discussed. It is suggested that,control of preparation conditions could improve the properties of products,which could be suitable to the requirements in different applications.
Abstract:A coolant,H1,is made from 95 wt.% of soft water,about 5 wt.% silicon oil together with ethanol and emulsifier like soda soap. The results of corrosivity test to steel,solvability and different compatibility tests with explosives,including chemical reaction test (CRT),vacuum stability test (VST) and microcalorimetry,indicate that this coolant can be safely used to machine explosive charges.
