Abstract:By analyzing the possible synthetic routes of hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane(HNIW), it′s concluded that a three-step strategy is practical, i.e.,the first,synthesis of benzyl-derivative of hexaazaisowurtzitane,then,transformation of the N-benzyl substituents into intermediate with N-carboxyl groups and at last,nitration of the intermediate. The three-step synthetic states is reviewed and discussed,and the synthetic information about hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane in several countries is given.

Abstract:The title compound was synthesized by the reaction of 2,2,4-trinitro-4-aza-1-pentol with acetyl chloride. Its structure was identified and some of its properties were determined as below: m.p.: 54.4~55℃, ρ: 1.52g/cm3and exothermal peak in DSC 236℃.
Abstract:A new compound, N,N′-bis(2-azidoethyl) oxalic amide (AEO), was synthesized and its structure was identified by IR, 1H NMR,13C NMR and CIMS elemental analysis. The binding effect of AEO/HMX and the compatibilities of AEO with nitrates and polyethers were studied by XPS and DTA respectively. The results show a application of AEO as a bonding agent for HMX-based PBXs.

Abstract:A new method is discribed for synthesizing 1,3,5-triamino-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene by condensation reaction of 3,5-dichloroaniline and tricyanogen chloride, the condensation product is then nitrated and aminated with a yield of 80% compared with the traditional method, this procedure is easy to realize and the cost of starting materials is relatively inexpensive.

Abstract:Condensation of thiourea with glyoxal, 4,5-dihydroxy imidazolidine and 1,1,3,3-tetraethoxypropane gave bicyclic thiourea and isothiourea derivatives, respectively,which were nitrated to form their corresponding polynitrocompounds.
Abstract:Many methods can be used to increase p-MNT yield in mononitration product of toluene in lab.It is found that the composition of mixed acid and of nitration method have considerable effect on isomer distribution of the product. With concentrated H2SO4 as substrate, toluene can be nitrated by adding diluted HNO3 at certain temperature, and the p-MNT in the product increased by 8%,which is promising to be used in industry.

Abstract:1-(2′,2′,2′-trinitroethyl)-3,3-dinitroazetidine, 1,3-bi(3′,3′-dinitroazetidine)-2,,2-dinitropropane and 1-(3′,3′-dinitroazetidine)-2,2-dinitropropane were synthesized by Mannich reaction of 3,3-dinitroazetidine. Their molecular structures have been determined by elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR spectra.
Abstract:High molecular weight poly-hydroxy-terminated glycidyl azide polymer (HGAP) is a new type of energetic polyether binder for the development of high performance solid propellants. The preparation of HGAP from degradation of polyepichlorohydrin (PECH) and azidation is described and the said polymer with Mn 1500~20000, fn 3~6, and molecular weight distribution about 2, was prepared by tailoring different factors.
Abstract:1,3,5,7,7-pentanitro-1,3,5-triazacycloactane and its intermediate 3,7,7-trinitro 1,3,5-triazabicyclo[3,3,1]nonane were synthesized. The mechanism of condensation reaction of methylenedinitramine, 2,2-dinitropropanediol-1,3 with hexamethylenetetramine is discussed herein.
