Abstract:The thermal decomposition behavior of the ingredients , RDX、NC、NG、and NQ in nitramine propellants RGC and RCGU were experimentally studied. The results show that the crook of these propellants burning curves were caused by the difference of thermal decomposition behavior between the solid filler RDX and NC-NG double-base binder. Because of its individual thermal decomposition behavior, NQ could be used to regulate the above said difference and straighten the burning rate curve.

Abstract:the experimental methods of surface coating of boron powder and the performance analyses of coated boron powder were introduced.The methods, including recrystallization, neutralization, deposition and phase separation, are suitable for coat ing boron with NH4ClO4, KClO4, LiF and NaN3. In order to characterize the performance improvement of coated boron powder, the acidity, viscosity, thermochemical properties and ignition behaviour of coated and uncoated boron powder were measured and compared,and some valuable results were obtained.

Abstract:Based on the chemical aging mechanisms of hydroxy-terminated polybuta diene(HTPB)solid propellants, three main technical ways to improve chemical aging resistance of HTPB solid propellants are described, i.e. improving thermal stability of AP,strengthening interfacial binding effect of AP/HTPB and improving anti-oxygen properties of HTPB.

Abstract:Shock initiation behavior of explosive JB9014 was experimentally studied by means of one stage gas gun. The pressure profiles on the impacted surface were measured with manganin gauges of type F4/203A. By using the contrast method, the shock. parameters in the explosive sample were determined. The shock initiated deflagration to detonation transition (SDDT) characteristic curve for the explosive charges and the threshold pressures of deflagration and detonation were sequentially obtained there from.

Abstract:The damage effects of FAE on targets are mainly dependent upon the parameters such as overpressure and impulse in explosion fields. In this paper,the characteristics of FAE parameters in explosion fields and effect factors on the damage are analyzed,and an evaluation method of FAE power is also developed.
Abstract:Acetanilide was nitrated in nitric-sulfuric acid mixture and the concentra tion of nitroacetanilide at different reaction time were determined by means of UV-Vis spectrum. The nitration rate constant of acetanilide obtained therefrom indicates this nitration is a second order reaction.
Abstract:The recrystallization method of nitroguanidine (NQ) is modified to pre pare particulate crystalline from its needle form. Different properties of the final prod ucts obtained therefrom were determined,including crystal parameters, crystal density,bulk density, vibration density of the sample from graded granula combination,melting point and impact/friction sensitivity.The granular NQ is an acceptable insensitive explosive used as a filler for cast and/or compressed charges.
Abstract:Commercial ethanol aqueous solution was used to substitute isopropanol as a reaction medium for condensation of 2-amino pyridine with picrylchloride.This modification increases the yield of final product up to 88%and Obviously reduces the cost as well.
