Abstract:The situation about studies of deflagration to detonation transition in gaseous mixture,propellants and explosives is reviewed.Our analysis is concerned specifically with the mechanism of the transition phenomenon and the investigation methods.

Abstract:The thermal decomposition behaviour of composite catalyst with different proportion in double base propellant was investigated by means of DSC. The result showed that the copper salt decreased the decomposition temperature of lead salt.Carbon black not only shifted the decomposition of lead salt to lower temperature,but also.increased its exotherm peak area which indicated that the chemical reaction between carbon black and decomposition products of lead salt catalvzed the combustion of double base propellants.
Abstract:An optimum pyrotechnic composition is proposed as a base bleed of proiectiles and the effect of drag reduction and range increase was tested.The results showed the shooting range of 122mm projectile increased from 15. 3km to 22.3km,which means this kind of pyrotechnic composition is a promising base bleed for projectiles.
Abstract:This paper reports a new method of synthesizing 2,6-bis(picrylamino)-3,5-dinitropyridine by condensation reaction of 2,6-diaminopyridine and 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene the condensation product was then reacted with picrylchloride and get N-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)-N ’-picry1-2,6-diaminopyridine(3) which was nitrated and obtained the titled compound(4).

Abstract:Pentaerythritol diazido dinitrate(PDADN)was synthesized and characterized.Tbe results show that PDADN is a crystalline compound at ambient temperature and melts at 39.6~39.7℃,which is disagreed with the report of Frankel who concluded that PDADN is a colorless oil with n22.5D1. 5165.

Abstract:The thermal decomposition of some flame-retardants used for RDX was investigated:TPC TPM,TPP,ANT,PHN,NPT,BIP,TPB,PPA and their binary mixtures. Their thermal decomposition kinetics was determined by using the DTA technique.
Abstract:The compatibility of some energetic materials,PETN,RDX,HMX,BTF,Tetryl,NQ and GAP,with PVB was investigated by using a differential scanning calorimeter. The results show that NQ and GAP are well compatible with PVB,but the compatibility of HMX,RDX and Tetryl with PVB is poor,PETN/PVB and BTF/PVB are very incompatible.

Abstract:BTF was quantitatively analysed by high performance liqud chromatography with Hitachi Gel 3050 as column filler and CH3OH-H2O as mobile phase,which could completely separate all the constituents in BTF sample with recovery of 99.9% and standard deviation of 0.20% compared to the principal component.The reference sample of BTF was purified by double complexing with benzene.
