Synthesis and Properties of 7-(3′-Amino-2′,4′,6′-trinitrophenyl)-amino-4,6-dinitrobenzofuroxan

    Abstract:

    7-(3′-Amino-2′, 4′, 6′-trinitrophenyl)-amino-4, 6-dinitrobenzofuroxan was synthesized using 3-chloro-2, 4, 6-trinitrobenzenamine as primary material by self-reaction and azidcation with a total yield of 68%. Its structure was confirmed by MS, IR and 1H NMR. Thermal behavior was studied by DSC and TG. Results show that its initial decomposition temperature is 245.6 ℃, and the mass loss due to overall reaction (150-400 ℃) is 63%.
