    Abstract:

    Detonation-confinement Sandwich Test of PBX-9502 was simulated using a simple one-term reaction rate model. The simulation result was compared with results of tests and detonation shock dynamics (DSD) analysis, it can be found that the reaction rate model can be used to model Detonation-confinement Sandwich Test accurately. The results show that shock shape is dependent on the confined inert material under certain conditions.
