The effect of kind or content of binders on the relative spectral power distribution and color rendering index of illuminating compositions were studied. Based on the spectroscopy theory, thermal broadening and pressure broadening of sodium atomic spectrum, and the effect of these broadening behaviors on the increament of the color rendering index of illuminating compositions are discussed.
