This paper reports a new method of synthesizing 2,6-bis(picrylamino)-3,5-dinitropyridine by condensation reaction of 2,6-diaminopyridine and 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene the condensation product was then reacted with picrylchloride and get N-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)-N ’-picry1-2,6-diaminopyridine(3) which was nitrated and obtained the titled compound(4).
